Hey guys

I have forged internals, doolz intake, nismo 555's and the Z1 600 tubs. The guys at the garage are telling me that I need bigger injectors to map the car any higher than 450 ish?

I thought my injectors would go at most to 555? any thoughts?

there giving you a big safety margin mate..its best not to go past 85-90% of the flow rate of injectors to make sure you dont go lean at high rpm;)

aha so about 480 at the wheels is about as much as I should be looking at?

ide be happy plus your not compromising reliabilty;)

I thought 555's would be working at 80% duty cycle at 500bhp, what afr and duty cycle are you running at the moment?

I would take it somewhere else to be mapped and then come back with the amswers, it doesn't do any harm to have an independant dyno?

If your injectors are working above 80% duty cycle upgrade them, the next choice are 740 injectors with a 300degree fuel rail and 94+ injector connectors if your car is younger than that. Or 850 injectors with the same fuel rail and injectors but these outrun the fuel pumps abilites, so 740's should be more than adequate.

But £50 on an independant dyno may give you a view with more impartiality for your wallet?

What psi are you running?

Thanks Topless the Greddy is telling me that its running 0.92bar (bear in mind its still running in) Will know more when it gets re-mapped once run in should be next week.

once you've ran this engine in its gonna be a beast, hence the link in your sig :bow:

Thanks Snowy I'm really looking forward to it at the moment I can only tickle the tubs at 4.5k cant wait to use the rest of the range

i have heard great reports from "Perfect touch" my mate is having his GTR33 skyline prepared there ..1000bhp plus nitrous ....the guy there who does the mapping is a genious .......dont think its cheap but then again the best never is .. i think they are down london way , not sure !!

Thanks bud whats there address? any idea

Also any ideas of wht kind of boost I can run the Z1 600tubs at? I want them to last so I'm happy to sit in the middle?

On those tubs they will run 22psi all day long but on a properly mapped motor 15psi will be more than satisfactory.I fitted a pair of these to a customers car and even with a low boost map (12psi) they kicked ass.
