intake manifold removal

Hi,

 

I'm just wondering how difficult/what's involved in removing the intake manifold for cleaning/polishing?

    The job isn't TOO bad but then it aint exactly easy.... You need to detach the coolant hoses, the PCV hoses, fuel hoses, coil packs, vac hoses, balance bar, EGR pipes...... You'll need new gaskets for the EGR pipes and upper->lower intake joint...

    Not really if you wanna get it really clean.... The trouble is to polish it you get metal filings coming off etc... If you wash it you get water in the electrics..... Bugger init frown.gif
