hi all i got a prob i fitted an alternator belt and then i started the car it ran as normal i turned it off then went out 10 mins later now the fooker wont start:headvswal any ideas ?yes its gt fuel :) and i can smell it when i turn it over doesnt seem to be firing now:rant:

Did the previous belt snap? and therefore had you driven it for a while with no charge?

 

If so it could be that now the battery charge is low, if you've got a test meter check across the battery terminals and if below 10v charge it for an hour or so and try again. if above 10v I don't think it's the battery :)

 

Edit, cant be that as just remembered its the same belt as water pump so would have boiled. apologies for bum info.

nah the belt only squeked but thanks :) as i said it started and ran fine now its not :(

thanks guys it was the PTU connections :)weeeeeeeeee now ima back on the road...btw had my interior priced today £1300 gonna be blue and orange cos the paint jobs gonna be orange to blue or blue to orange flip paint so by next z009 will look a nice car :)should have it done by september ;) doin the extra hrs now.
