WHAT A PAIN IN THE A**E, i took me about 2 hours to fit 1 yesterday and its only stuck on, because of where the alarm led is and the immobiliser back up point is i had to drill a hole through it after sticking it on then file it to the shape of the hole, then to top it off when i tried to open the ashtray it would'nt open cos it was catching on the side so i had to rip it off and i still aint finished, the dashboard is in bits and i started to loose my rag with it so i decided to give up and finish it another day before i kicked the car :headvswal

If it's any consolation, I fitted a brushed ally kit in my N/A and had all the same probs as you. ashtray lid catching, cutting holes for alarm led etc etc.

The worse bit was the windscreen vents, If you haven't fitted them yet DONT!

Just lay them in place for now and see how you get on driving. Dont know about the carbon fibre but the brushed ally reflect up on the windscreen and obscure your view, A right PITA! Apart from that looked great once fitted:)

About seven years ago I paid £240 for one and the quality of it was an absolute discrace it started to peel off and fall apart in less than a year so the lot went in the bin.

Bought a much better quality kit from the US and its more complete and less than a third of the price I paid back in 2001. You only get one go at sticking it on straight as the strength of the glue is unreal.

Looks like you've got some sexy red & black interior going on there Mac.. I'm seriously thinking of changing mine to black & red... Mmmmmmmmmmm

And heres the brushed ally. as mac1 says, glue is one time only and once on it's on it will never come off so make sure you really like it before fitting. :)
