importing alloys

I have been looking on the net and have seen lots of alloy wheels on american websites. The question is does anyone have any idea of how much it would cost to ship a set into the uk?

Your best bet is to just mail them for a quote wink.gif

by far the best price and place to import from at the moment is australia the shipping and tax are all cheaper and the exchange rate at the moment is none too bad either......as wierd as this may sound look on the japcar auction sites you'll be surpprised at some of the wheels on cars and you can buy the whole car for less than a set of racing hart c5 rims

I have just mailed the company to find out how much the ground shipment of them would be, but what are the taxes that i would need to pay. The wheels would cost around $2200 or £1500.

First you pay 5% import duty and then 17.5% vat on top of that.

Racing Hart - love em!!

18 inch splits on my car, not cheap but bloody lovely!

that's on the cost of the wheels plus shipping costs. Carriers many charge for collecting the vat & duties, £10-15 :-(
