I know, I know, I'm allowed to havea non standard plate because it's an import or so I was lead to believe.

 

I don't have a license plate bracket on my Stillen.

 

I was trying to get some sense out of the police that pulled me over but they were adament that as soon as imports come into this country they need to obide by the UK rules, fair enough I guess.

 

So I'll be ording new plates tomorrow.

 

Any suggestions about what type would look best on a stillen front end (UK legal that is). Also where would I put it ?

no, these came a couple of weeks ago - i know we had a SN back in nov saying to disregard the plate changes for the time being but this update is a recent one??

Just to add, after reading all the links. It seems only 1 font is now allowed and only standard black lettering also, no more highlights, no more 3d and no grovy backgrounds.

 

One font yes, new charles wright, but they are still allowed to be done in standard, 3D, carbon or hi line.

No mate, it wont be endorseable.

ok, been in touch with VOSA. although they have sent out the latest info to the test centres, its not yet enforcible for the MOT until they release the next special notice. looks like they have jumped the gun a bit!! LOL!
