Are these thought of as better quality than the Venom injectors?

No idea where the Venom injectors got such a bad reputation from except Chris@Getyamoneyandfookoffwithit saying how he had seen loads of blown engines cos of them, and dont trust anything except the one's HE sells, but not one person aying "I have fitted them and had problems"

Always its "someone I know" or "I heard of this guy who fitted them and..." Never from the horses mouth, surely if they were that bad or even ONE failing we would have heard about it from the person who's car they were actually in???

loads of people on various forums... and here, recently, Jimmers are leaking very badly and RobH put a set in 2 weeks ago and one is stuck open, hydrolocking the engine... and I went round to help him figure out what was wrong, so that is straight from the horse's mouth!

That's what i'm getting at too. Nobody on here has said "I've bought some venom injectors last week, fitted them today and they're poo" ... well not untill today LOL

I guess the internet is a very powerful weapon when you post stuff on forums.

As kirbz has said, SARD make some of the best injectors available on the market. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for

its not just the failure rate, alot of them flow badly and at different rates, i know there was someone who flow tested the venom ones, think they were 550cc ones and they ranged from 570 to 350cc and one of them would not flow at all!! all of them were a new set as well.

when it comes to stuff like injectors its just not worth cutting corners with cheaper injectors!!

also just to answer the nismo ones, i have not heard of any failing?? and thats from here and the GTR club so that tells you about the reliability of the nismo ones!!

Mike

get Denso injectors they are made for nismo and nismo re badge them and they are lots

cheaper

they also make the HKS injectors as well :)

I think this is where the problem is, its always "I know of" or "I heard about". Be nice to hear from someone who has actually had them and had problems or not.

Not trying to defend Venom at all by the way, or say they are good, just trying to work out how they have this poor rep yet all the bad reviews are from people who dont have them and all from hearsay/roumor??

Came over to the mainland a year or 2 back to buy a Zed with a local guy.

Turned out it was one of Tonyc's previous zeds and fitted were venoms (550cc) anyway car didn't run very nice at all and i had previously found out John dixon had tried to map it, something he's very good at too :smash:. Anyway he struggled to do this and eventually done a map based on the injectors being around 420cc, this made the car drivable to a certain extent.

So once the car was back, fitted Nismo 555's in, John sent over a chip to suit and the car goes like stink and runs smooth as silk.

So make of that what you will :)

Oh and the old injectors were binned!

Story of bad venoms has been around for many years now on all forums around the world.

smithy

Wish id done some searching two years ago.Venoms are litter.mine are coming out when i get time.mine flow fine but the smell of fuel from the constantly leaking injector is a nause this time of year. They have only done 1200 miles.
