Hi All,

 

Seems ive got a water leak and have pinpointed it to a small hose at back of block - Can anyone suggest best way of doing this, do i need to drop off exhaust? (See attachment pic - pic for pipe location info only, engine still in car).

I think its a common one. was talking to snowy and its a right arsehole to do. Takes patients.

looks like a barsteward to do - seems the long nose pliers i've got ain't long enough. Need some extra extra long ones maybe? Don't want to be dropping off the zorst and turbo if i can avoid it.

I had the same pipe split on mine i took it to a garage, 5 hours only £200 labour they didnt touch the exhaust but they droped the gearbox down from its mounts 4 bolts to get access .They said it was a pig to get to but they have a specail long bendy tool to pinch the old spring clips open with .They repalced the spring clips with jubbile clip dont know how they did these up.

you need a lot of patients and a set of long nose plyers, it took me 8 hours to change mine and that was on a ramp at work, it is do-able and you will wanna kick the car but trust me it is possible, i done it from underneath but if you take a few bits off the top you'll be able to get to it, if you need any more advice on it just drop me a p.m bud

she has actually, it makes my doodaa look bigger, lol

Well after many hours and a few good mates its been fixed with long nose pliers and a coat hanger :whack:

 

 

Oh yes and some female hands came in sort of handy, shame she didn't know how to use them doh!
