Not from this guy!! Strangely enough I spoke with the people who distribute these injectors to all the dealers. Tlf are causing problems with them as a search like Legrath says will show. The sets are delivered to them in sets that have been tested and match but by the time tlf are sent out they are not in the sets! Would contact Venom to find another distributor http://www.venom-performance.com

I am a little confused here, if they are 555 injectors how can they not match one another?

Just in case the forum search did'nt provide the answers needed...these are generally regarded as junk. Poor flow matching, leaking and premature failure.

Bottom line is that if you do buy them....get them flow tested and use Nissan genuine o-rings.

No doubt some have been fine, but there is a definate quality control issues here....bear in mind that a failing injector can quickly kill an engine.

Me personally, I would stick to either Nismo's or Deutchwerks.

A lot of various types of injector (including genuaine nismo) have failed in the USA because of the ethanol blend in their petrol.

Do a search, this has been covered on here at some point.

Does anybody know of anybody in the UK who has has these venom injectors fail?

I don't think venoms have failed, but never worked properly from the start, irrelevant of whether there was ethanol in the petrol or not, they have not had accurate flow rates.

IIRC jimmer had a set but had them flow matched, at least I think it was him?

and last I heard (although not from the horses mouth, so Jimmer will have to clarify) was that he is since having problems with them. Leaking I believe.

The problems from Venom injectors is not related to ethanol based fuel. That is a problem with all pintle design injectors, the issues here are poor quality control.

Absolutely right gentlemen, he is not happy at all even though he had them checked before installation. his fuel consumption is atrocious but the worst aspect is the constant smell of petrol dispite replacing all the seals and O rings twice. I have just bought a set of 555's and he recommended that I bought Nismo injectors, (now awaiting Jimmers expertise) which I recently purchased from Z1Motorsports. They have a good selection on their website.

I spoke with Jimmer this week about his leaking injector. I am going to see what they can do for him. Like Legrath says alot of problems with mismatched flow rates and seals leaking, this is what happens when people swap sets around and mess with boxed sets.

I am not understanding what you are saying here, 555 injectors are 555 injectors, their flow rate is 555cc end of:confused:

Yeah, right. You can buy Tesco 10/50w oil and you can buy Redline 10/50w oil. Which would you chose ?

The flow rate is the rough figure. If you buy nismo's or any other brand they are simply pulled off a shelf in their individual boxes - they are NEVER matched. However if there is a quality control issue then it would be well worth getting them flow tested to make sure they were all nearly the same...

They also make sure the spray patterns match as well.

Sorry bud you haven't sold them to me :)
