I purchased my car with a pair of Blitz B.O.V`s fitted it the top on hard pipes,

I have noticed that the orridional recircs are still fitted under the bumper,

I was wondering.....why is this??

Can I remove them and bung the pipes or is there a reason why they`v been left??

The reason they have left them there could be answered two ways:

 

1. The person who fitted the Blitz bov's didn't know that zeds have recircs as standard

 

or

 

2. The person knew zeds had recircs fitted as standard but couldn't be arsed to take them off because its a pain in the @ss to do it :D

Yep sure is, i had the same issue with mine Blitz BOVs at the top and recircs at bottom :headvswal

Just take em off and block up the pipes bud - piece of piss

I was just a bit worried it wouldnt be that simple as someone told my there may be idle problems on tick over??

That's a different debate entirely ;-) BUT as your recircs are currently redundant anyway (or should be if the BOVs are working correctly) you're not going to notice any difference if you remove the recircs and plug up the holes properly.

 

What have you guys used to plug up the 'stubs'? I've currently got rubber chair leg covers held on with hose clips :O). If someone made these in silicon they'd be ideal - as it is they fatigue within a couple of years and need replacing. Think the 'norm' is to use silicon hose with metal bungs...

i used to use screws or bolts to fill the gap, you can buy specific plugs to fit though, check ebay

I think the recircs are still plummed in which is why my Blitz BOV`s are so quiet as I find it quite difficult to scare the old people which is one of the reasons BOV`s were invented(to protect the turbos my ar5e)

gotta get it on the ramp and have a propper look!!
