I've emailed an alloy repair centre in Carnwath (Scotland) to see if they can repair 2 alloys for the Zed.

Here's a pic of one, the others the same but still has the tyre on.

What do you think.

I am no engineer and I am amazed that you could contemplate repairing a wheel in that condition and then using it on a high performance car. Have you even considered the repercussions should you be involved in an accident due to the wheel failing.

The wheels already failed (both of them) thats why they're in 2 pieces.

Look at the pic, there is no sign of a flattened end due to impact.

A mate gave them to me like this so i've no idea what happened but seeing as the alloy wheel repair place claim they can repair any damaged alloy i thought i'd send them a pic.

They've not replied yet.;)

I'm not sure i'd even use the 2 good wheels (maybe for moving the car about) but to have both alloys split right down the middle with no signs of impact make me question their durability.

They are Matrix alloys? I've never heard of them.

Good God!!.. What on earth happened to that Steve

No idea mate! My mate gave me them (set of 4) he said they were from his Zed. He arrived when the Scottish Cup Final was on so i wasn't paying much attention lol. Two wheels were good with good tyres the third is split the same as the one in the pic but still has the tyre. I don't know if they were on the front, rear or from the same side. You can actually line the broken pieces up and it just looks like a hairline crack.

They are not my cup of tea but just to see what kind of response i would get i emailed pics to http://www.alloywheelrepairs.net to see what their response would be.

Needless to say they have not replied:D although when you see some of the wheels they have repaired you wonder why anyone would want them repaired.
