I recently ordered a set of wheels which the company have had problems supplying. Does anyone find that 19" wheels cause any problems with the handling of the car like tramlining etc? My original upgrade was to be a set of 18's but they have offered a larger alternative as they are in stock

Thanks

ask apache, he's just fit some to his if thats any help

Hi Rich,

I had 19's on my previous 2 zed's, and I had 17's and 18's on them before I put the 19's on.

Ride quality was barely any different. No tramlining, no rubbing. No adverse handling characteristics at all.

For ultimate performance/track car I would'nt go larger than 18's becuase of unsprung weight and rolling diameter (even with the lower profile tyres the overall circumference was noticably larger) but for a Fast road/daily driver the 19's suited the car perfectly.

I was running 245 wide fronts with no tramlining but improved front end grip (reduced understeer).

Dave,That sounds promising thanks for that. These wheels are to tart the car up for posing but still want to be able to Drive it! The std wheels will be used for the track. By the way those roll bars were brilliant. Much better on the road and good fun on the track!. I've changed the front one to the harder setting since and again noticably different.

Thanks again

Rich

I upgraded from 17's to 19's and have noticed a better handling response, although I do need to have the tracking checked.

No tramlining or rubbing.

i have 19 on only thing is the ride is harder and when you put on the rosejoints its even harder on the bumps

I run 19", ride and handling is all good, no tramlining. No rubbibg etc either.

Agree that for track use 18" might be better but road use go for the 19", they look loads better than smaller wheels.

235 front, 265 rear.
