I can't imagine Mike smith would let his manifolds go that cheap, so I presume they are copies, but to be completely truthful I don't know

AMS are copies. Personally I'd go for the Mike Smith ones (and I did) for the extra peace of mind. He spent years developing them.

there is a big conflab on 300club about them flow figures look good, but are really an unknown in terms of cracking?

Just had a look on there and they can be cryo treated for $99 which gives them a lifetime gaurantee. At the group buy price they are offering it seems pretty good.

Im going for the same setup as you and i think mike smiths are the best to get.

I noticed the 300zxclub site is very much like Z1's!

But cant help noticing that the 300zxclub site sells alot of the Z1 products a little cheaper than Z1 ?

I would think the lifetime guarantee might be a problem claiming on :(

MS has done all the research and developemnt to produce his Manifolds. AMS have copied them and perhaps improved on them slightly (debateable) and so can charge less as it has'nt cost them as much in R&D.

I personally would say you wont go wrong with either. Bit of a Morals issue perhaps..but that is how business works.
