Are the Bosch batteries the smart red and silver coloured battery mate?

I bought one of these :-

and was around £46 IIRC, no problem with it at all

That's not bad at all. Did you go for the correct size? 068 / 088?

I need a new battery as I bought a 'get me home anysize' battery a few years ago which is still on it now! LOL Want the correct size so I can fit the battery box and carrier.

mines silver with a red handle if that makes any difference bud

I've just been outside and had a look and the markings numbers etc. must be on the bulkhead side so not visible. I just rang them up, told them the make and model AND JDM and they had it there ready for me to pick up ;)

like Paul said if you just tell them which way round the terminals are then you cant go wrong,

i should'nt have said that lol

That's good. Not sure it makes any difference if it's JDM Terminals are the same on both UK and JDM surely?

There's an A1 Motorspares about 7 miles from me, they stock Moura batteries, so think I'll pay them a visit.

I got one from a local motor factors, told them it was a jdm to be safe but they had one on the shelf thats a good fit.was approx £50

You must make the Cca is as close to 570 as poss with a charge rate of at least 65 ah.

Bosch figures may be a little lower because they tend to be very coservative with the figures on their batteries

E.g one battery manufacturer may claim to have 570cca and 65ah and bosch may have exacly the same battery and label it as 520cca and 60ah.

What would a power upgraded battery be for the zed.. For running subs & amps etc. etc.

I think that is what's killing my battery.

068 / 088 ??

Probably an 096 would be the best if you need a bit more power, it has approx 680Cca and a 72Ah rate.

Size wise its 5mm wider than a zed battery but 40mm shorter in height.

Expect to pay about 70 quid for a DECENT one at a motor factors.

Just short of £100.00 in Halfrauds.. Got one from a contact in the trade in the end, with a 3 year guarantee @£44.00 + a :duffer:

Definately a more sensible price :)
