Does anyone have to hand the paint code for the standard silver used on a 1990 silver JDM spec 2+2 please?

 

Also any idea where to get it mixed in the leicestershire area with a plasticizer this week ready for some spraying over the weekend?

Can't help you out with the code, cos my dads silver zed is away having the alternator changed, however regarding paint, every town/city in the country has a local paint supplier, it'll be a place that supplies car tools and panels etc...... At a push Halfords can mix paint for you. :)

I can't remember the code off the top of my head but i'm pretty sure it's just "Nissan Silver" on Halfords paint charts if that helps you trace it.

I went to get a can made up and after matching various samples on the car it turned out to be one they had on the shelf for the other Nissan models around that year.

Cheers lads, i'll go to hal-frauds and get them to mix some up for me then, i would have thoguht it'd be a straight nissan colour although i wasn't sure with it being JDM spec and an old car

If you find your local place first, they will most likely do a better match :)

I thought you had a paint and interior chart on your site but couldn't find it when I looked.

 

I wouldn't get Halfords to mix it though, it's about £15 for a very small tin!

Sure it was their standard Nissan Silver though which doesn't cost too much.

I seem to remember 296 from my VIN too :)

AG2 is red ! (ugh!) - shame 'cause Ag would have made sense ...

Good work lads, i'll check my vin when i get back and check it against those links. I know there's a place in Loughborough nearby that mixes paint. I'm guessing if i take them the paint codes they should have a database to mix it up to?

If you have a Partco in your town it may be worth trying them. The one in Chester will mix paint up from the code.

There's one Leicester apparently, i'll give them a ring on friday
