I have just fitted brembo brake discs all round and feel that the brakes could still be better.I have a 94 tt lwb auto which has got the ali calipers on so which is best the ali or cast.Can somebody also tell me is this right should i have ali calipers on the car or cast.One more thing it has got standard pads front and rear which is not helping.

They really are bargain basement stuff tbh. Ferodos are great from cold and even better once hot with very little dusting :)

 

ferodos are good pads, and stop you very well but..............

 

they squeal like a ba****d!!??!?!

 

or am i mising something on instalation????

LOL yeah they can squeal quite badly when very cold but worth it - did you put some copper grease on? It doesn't cure it completely but does make a difference :)

i got a new tub of copper grease from awfolds...... (sorry halfords)

and used about half the pot!!??

 

was thinking about making some new aluminium shim plates for the calipers.

would this make any difference?

Yeah I ran without the anti-squeal plates but it didn't bother me LOL. They will make a big difference and more than likely eliminate it all together. Do you have stock calipers or R33s?

i got stock calipers at the mo.....

 

but looking for a set of evo8 calipers with a little modded bracket

Try contacting MJP for a shim set don't think they're too expensive ;)

KRSMAYO - i'm currently putting evo 8 calipers and 350z discs on mine disc are going from 280mm DIA to 324mm. should be fitting them this weekend if the brake lines come in

How did you get on with the caliper bracket?
