I'm trying to stick vinyl/leatherette to some calibra door cards, they are very groved and the vinyl is trying to peel off in certain areas. (i'm using spray adhesive) Anyone got any good tips to stop it doing this?:bow:

what about a proper vinyl glue, get it from B&Q, use it as per instructions otherwise it wont work properly

Needs to bond quickly, I think the spay i'm using is propable the right stuff for the job, just need to get the vinyl to stretch in certain places

ok, spray glue aint up to it. just been corrected on the calibra site too. I'll give the evo a go, the vinyl has a backing on it so it might be ok

the vinly glue we use at work for our flooring is good, you put it on leave it for half hour then stick it, it can also be manipulated for a short time, evo stick will bond quite quickly and wont have any play in it

Make sure you get the solvent version of evo-stik. The solvent-free version is no good.

I'll try evo stick first as i've got some here, if not i'll try the other stuff. The bits glued now, but some weights on it for a while. but they were saying on the other forum that it will unstick in the heat.

You cover both pieces with evo-stick leave it for at least 5 mins before putting them together. Its very strong stuff.

you coud try using a hairdryer to make it go off faster or to stretch it abit

as said if you warm the vynil up first it stretched easier
