Has anyone who's used one of those large 1 farad capacitors for a sub amp noticed a difference?

Cheers

I've not used one but I understand that they are used to store electricity in very high powered systems to ease the load on the battery etc.

I stand to be corrected as usual.

no, I think you're correct. But am I better off just getting a bigger battery?

Dunno matey I suppose it depends on how much current you're drawing to kick the sounds out.

I was looking through a car accessory mag last night and saw this beast of a battery...1000 cold cranking amps deep cycle marine jobby and you can get them with 4 terminals aswell!!! Absolute mother of all batteries. wink.gif

A Cap will store power at about 13 volts, should your battery not be able to supply then the Cap provides what`s needed. Only called for in larger set ups but get a volt metre on your amp and crank it up, if you are drawing many powers then get one.
