Hi All,

As part of my rebuild i know im going to need a better fuel pump to cope with the mods im doing.

I have a walbro 255ltr at the mo will that be enough?

If not does anyone know what would be better brand and size?

Thanx

P.S I have a link to my mods below if that helps.

That is the usual story, although I know of some exceptions. Anyway, unless you're planning on significantly more than 500bhp then the standard pump should be fine. Dunno about the aftermarket one you have though ...

I think the tomei pump was the only one that flowed more than the TT pump, but the other option is twinning two tt pumps?

WHy not dyno after it is run in and see if you are not getting enough fuel?

I have heard of people using 2 pumps but i want to try and get everything right so i dont have to mess around trying to get the car running right after it is run in. Prob is best just to leave it untill she is run in.

You are going to have to mess about with it anyway, you are could be preempting problems that may not occur?

Hve to agree with topless on this one mate. Crack on with yer build, run your engine and do your dyno work when you wanna know how much she's kicking out. The dyno tuner guy will identify any problems including fuelling-If any at all. If fuelling shows that it's holding you back then fair enough, a little more work and not big expense will sort it out for you. But on this particular area i would move away from the norm, only if you have too.

Yep agree^^^ Shame alot of people don't realise just how good the stock Fuel pump is on the Z. Though the walboro' is a tried and tested alternative if need be.

You'll soon find out when and if a twin pump set up is required by a good tuner when on a dyno. Not sure of the build or BHP you are expecting to achieve with your car and size of the injectors you intend on using.
