Well, after about a year after selling my lovely 300zx I have decided to by a 350z. Well I have bought it and pick it up next weekend. I was well impressed with the test drive, pulled really well and was a joy to drive. The Mr's loved it as well, which was suprising as the Z32 always frightened her to death.

Can't wait to pick it up, lovely azure blue 05 with the GT pack and a UK model ... hopefully this will get my Mrs back into driving as she had a really bad accident last year and she is still getting over it.

Guess I may have to change forums now, then again I haven't had a 300zx for a year but have still subscribed.

Chris

I have been quite but I dont get a lot of time at the mo on the furum guys. I miss my 300, I really do and to be honest I think I will defo buy another one to go with the 350z. I was really impressed with the drive of the 350, the excelleration wasn't as good but the pick up was fantastic and the suspention was absoulutley brilliant. When I took it for the test drive at the weekend the sales fella was gripping his hands so tight I nearly laughed out loud. I just said, 'dont worry I'm used to rear wheel drives' LMFAO

Anyway, I'm looking forward to driving it again, and am pleased to get rid of the BM and get at least back with the Z's again.

Will get some pics this weekend mate when I pick it up. Insurance was good as well considering my Mrs had a accident 3 months ago and wrote her car off. With business use for both of us, protected no claims yada yada .. £400 ... not too bad.

not bad bud, ive always liked the 350, and ive always fancied the feel of a newer car, most of my cars have been over 12 years old lol

May not be a s quick as a Z32 but at least you have a top drawer gearbox:cool:

I have always liked older marks bud. I have never had a newer car ever. It really is in my rules, however the Mr's insisted as she likes newer cars. It really is a good one though and I loved the drive. I would stick to a UK manual though. They cost a bit more even now but I think it is worth it rather than an import.

Hey Mac,

defo not as quick as a 32 but just as nice to drive. I just wish we all started with the ride set up before modifying the engine. I think we all neglect the suspention set up and just concentrate on making more power. Obviously not you mate, but most people think of power first and neglect the basics of a really good ride and set up.

I know Chris the ride was very good and the engine note was sweet music but most of all I thought the gearbox was one of the best I have ever driven:bow:

I will post some pics of her last accident on this thread. It really was quite spectacular. She actually rolled the BM compact 2 times rather well LOL... The ambulalance guys expected dead people apparently. What a nightmare that was.

Excellent choice I really love the 350 and they do drive and feel spot on, I was just disappointed a bit with the performance.

Good luck with the car mate and a good choice too. I drove a 350z and was also impressed with the overall package:cool:.....

........but are you sure about the road tax? I have an SLK350 (registered pre-March 06 fortunately) and it is currently £205 (CO2 = 242g). I thought it would be around £300 next year. Although I have not actually checked yet...:nelson:

I hope you are wrong mate.....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I just looked on Parkers website Richard ... as a base they say £440 but I'm not sure how it works, as at the moment it really is only £170.00 per year so I'm a bit confused.
