What was the point of that?!

The poll said that the majority were in favour of a split but the last but one post by big kim said that the majority wanted no change, so why post the poll?!

23 votes out of almost 4000 members, that tells me that the majority are'nt bothered.

I didn't even realise the poll was up until now and it's been closed. Didn't seem that the 4000 members were given much more than a few weeks to vote?

Yeah, and you always go to lots of meets dont you si? :D

Maybe the other 4000 million other members don't either...especially in the middle of winter...well, it's spring now, although looking outside, you wouldn't think it! LOL

Theres always plenty of members at the meets I attend, most of the time anyway.

But the poll was up less than two weeks, Kim.

I agree the number who voted was quite low, but most regions were unaffected by the proposed changes anyway.

Wouldn't it be more meaningful if only the regions affected were invited to vote, similar to what SW has been doing?

I think it was important enough to warrant a blanket pm, after all in the last week i've had a pm to remind me to vote for car of the month and to update my e-mail.

So why no pm for something that affects the club directly?

Right, I have had a word with admin, and tommorow the following sections will be created.

The SW Section as it is now will become Devon & Cornwall. there will be a NEW Bristol & Gloucester section created, as will there be an East Anglia Section created. ;)

In the old car club I was in, we had a SW and a Western area...dunno if that would work. SW being Devon, Cornwall and Somerset, Western region being North Somerset, Gloucestershire and southern Worcestershire. Just a thought.

I think what Kim has posted is a good step and will please a lot of members (although of course not all).

I hope the new regions will support the changes enthusiastically by putting forward their Regional Event Organisers names.

By the way, I need REO's for Bristol & Gloucester and E Anglia, PM's to me if your interested. :D

Agreed, I think it's a great turn around of events. I personally never had a problem with the old areas, I just didn't go to many of the meets as I just don't at this time of the year. But hopefully it'll please the guys that wanted this additional region. I think it's a good thing, but would not have shed a tear if the regions remained unchanged as Lisa seems to be doing well.

456 - subscribed going by the last updated spreadsheet I had

3141 - registered members (alot are ones that just register for the sake of it to read something or spam bots)

Most people are registered, coz all the like to do is come on here and mock, or for FREE help and advice, or to post links to there own stuff FREE, they have NO interest in the club whatsoever. Not all of them mind. :D

20 or so out of 456 is alot better resonse than 20 out of 4000.

My post wasnt a pop at big kims maths but I figured he overlooked the fact that only subs members can post.

Dunno what your problem is stellaz, yes i post some crap, but so do you.

I also answer alot more of the help and advice questions than you do.

Also worth remembering that if it wasnt for the longstanding members on here you wouldnt have your precious club.
