There is a black electrical connector block to the right of the TPS. Does anyone know what this is for and what is operates? I ask, as my idle is a bit dodgy (intermittent) at the mo, but when I push the two plugs together (as there is a bit of play and it doesnt clip properly with age) the revs settle to how they should be?

Sounds like the connector to the tps from what you've said, lol

Sounds like you need to get a new one or pull it appart, clean it and re-make the connections so they are tight

There's a black one that goes to the TPS, then there's a balck/red one that runs along the side of the plemumn (one each side) this is the connectors for stock/safety boost. If you are running a boost controller these should be unplugged.
