Just got back from taking the z to the bodyshop and I aint happy.

They wont replace the wing, they wanna knock it out and cover it over with something similar to filler (ment to be twice as strong as filler)

This is not what I want, the car has gone this long without some muppet bodging it (thats my job:nelson:)

Where do I stand in relation to insurance money, can I just ask for the money and do the work properly myself?

I'd like to do the work myself if possible, the money would go alot further that way

to be honest if your panels are linged up all nice and snug i would let them pull it out and fill it otherwise you will always tell when a panel has been changed, also if you want them to change it they may write it off as it will cost more to repair

Stella has a good point there.

If it is only a minor knock (judging by your pics it looks that way) then this is probably the best course of repair. A good professional wil pull it out and/or panel beat it until almost perfect; however he could never get it 100% smooth. Hence the reason for filler; a touch of filler just smooths out the small imperfections making the bodywork flat and even again before spraying. It is not necessarily for bodging up a dent!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
