After having a full stainless exhaust fitted, down pipes and cat back, its still too boomy at about 2k revs. Sounds great when floored and nice gurgle when coasting, but for normal driving ie: 35-40mph too boomy in the cabin.

What have you done to combat this problem?

Do you just put up with it?

Or have you just got cat back only.

I feel the cats helped quieten the engine and dont really feel much difference since decatting, performance wise,

Any suggestions ( sensible ones)

Cheers

Graham

Turn your stereo up lol

I think zeds with a really deep grumble are great.

Ive got a s/s mongoose, great system but way to quiet.

Hi Graham,

Hows things bud, Ive got full stainless and decats and found the same mate, took it back to where i had the exhaust made and they fitted a small silencer on each pipe which has a sort of spiral design to the inside mufflers which helps channel the sound, i still retain a nice exhaust tone but its now alot quieter in the cabin. How you gone on with the series 2 pod,did you manage to fit it mate?

cheers mate Paul

a H crossover in the system cures booming at low to medium rpm;)

Grumble great, but when you are on the motorway for a few hours, the boom does your head in.

It has the x pipe, but when you put your foot down a bit ,it is noisy, being an auto at the moment doesnt help as youve got less control over the gearing, but i think i will end up getting some small silencers to go where the cats were as Paul has done.

Hi Paul, still not got round to putting the S2 pod and ecu in, had a duff back, the past week and im away next week so hopefully before the end of the month i wiil get it fitted.

Cheers

Graham
