Standard boost is 9.5psi or 0.65 bar

Safety boost is 7.5psi or 0.5 bar

You should be boosting between 9 and 10 psi, which is about 0.75/0.8 bar

 

You need to do a ecu check (make sure there are no error codes) get a boost leak check done and work from there

Common places to check for boost leaks are the pipes that connects under each throttle body. Also with engine running at idle has a listen around for hissing.

 

It that much of a boost leak you should be able to hear it without a leak detector (unless you have multiple leaks).

 

If've you've been driving on 4.5 psi for a while, you are in for a creaming session when you get your boost back to 9.5 psi :). The difference you will feel with the pull is a lot from 6 psi.

What is the standard boost gauge reading at??

If the waste gates are stuck open would that make the boost levels that low?? Or would there be no boost at all ?
