Just ordered some 235/40/18 falken fk-452 from camskill at £76 each. Thought good price and awited delivery. Just found out they have none in stock and it will be 78 weeks till they get some more! :slap: Need them by the end of this week.

 

Noone else seems to have these in stock either. What are my options can i use 225/40 18's? Dont want to fork out over £100 for a tyre if i can help it. Also dont want some other crap makes.

 

Advice?

hey paul, just spoke to north east tyres in boro, they have no falkens but they have avons in your size, but they're £95 if thats any help

There will be heaps of alternatives, that's also a standard BMW tyre size.

Unfortuneately i was out when the delivery came so i don't know exactly who delivered them, but i did have a thought, and thought maybe they are selling them via tyre shops round the country and maybe your area has ran out.

 

Could be very wrong (and i would'nt be suprised), but it was just a thought.

I know, only on the road for about 5 months too. Its the 18" wheel size affecting the camber and the inside is worn to shreds. Thats one reason the i got the camber arms etc save on future tyre wear lol.

Anyone have any experience with Avon ZZ3 tyres?

I orderd two tyres from the falken website. so far I aint hear anything, got an MOT booked for tuesday. They are ment to be next day delivery, anyone orderd any from them before?

Never had a problem with them, two days max for delivery.Used them 5 times in the past.

Try a main high street tyre fitting centre that stocks Falkens, usual get best deals that way and either have in stock or can get.

Yes they are rubbish. No grip in the wet at all and don't last long, that's probably why they are cheap.

Just an update.

 

I got in touch with Falken themselves who where able to get some imported and sent to camskill directly. Camskill have now sent them out to me. It is good to see at least some companys have good customer services and are willing to help you out.
