i've seen a r8 in the raw and they are real lush but the new gtr ....hmmmmm think i would have to rag the arse off both before i made a choice any one got one of each I can test drive so I can vote on this poll??? :D

The GTR is a bit of a bargain version of a Lambo, which is not a bad thing.

 

For me it's head vs heart - head says the GTR but heart says R8..........the jury's still out...........

your right but its still the next in the skyline range, the 350gt was an strange move for the skyline range?? but this one carries on with the R series and bears the GTR badge :D

its got to be the audi for me,the nissan is a hell of a techmobile but driving that would be like going to a wedding in a wrangler jacket...looks the dogs nuts but it just aint got the "ive worked really hard and look what ive bought" factor:)

tbh if your gonna spend near on £100k on an R8 would you get an R8 or a ferrari 430 or maybe an aston??

 

problem with the R8 is its just to expensive, if it had been around the £50k mark then i think it would have been a real contender but its not, its around £75k standard and theres still a £20k+ premium :shock:

Got to agree with you on that. TOO much for a car that looks more like £50K the farrari would deffo make a better statement and if you are spending that sort of money you really want to be noticed. But we all know you can get just as much admiration in a decent 300zx as you can with any car.

 

So stand out and be seen, drive a car that dominates your dream. Dont be shy, reach for the sky. another 300zx is what I would buy. :rofl:

I have to agree as well - instead of paying the £20k premium for an R8, I'd have to buy a DB9.

 

There is really no contest there - Aston = ultimate class.......

100% spot on IMHO Bri,at the end of the day money does not come into it,If the R8 is what you want and you have the cash to put where your mouth is then thats all that matters:)

and this seems to be the rule for most of the german thoroughbred cars Ian,you want one or you dont and the price comes 3rd place,ive allways wanted a mid 90,s 911 turbo but i aint going to tell no one:x::D

i agree, what i meant is if you were in the market for an R8 then i dont think i could honestly pick it over a 430 or db9??

 

nice car and all that and no doubting its credentials but which would you rather have on your drive?? sorry if it was any car around the £100k mark then it would have to be a 430 or db9, the R8 wouldnt get a sniff ;)
