I live on a small street with terraced houses and it is parking permit area only. Problem is, gits that are using the high street park here anyway so I have to park on double yellow lines!

Is there a way of parking (eg with wheels on full lock) so they cant clamp a car? I heard they can only clamp drivers side, or front wheels?

just take the wheels off, they cant clamp you then lol

ring the number of the clamping company and tell them to clamp the cars that dont have a permit and do thier f***in jobs properly

buy your own clamp ... whack it on when you park, take if off when you leave :D

they will leave it thinking your clamped already

can you not contact the local council, who are responsible for these schemes and put a formal complaint in?

The gits who are illegally parking are the very people that should be being clamped

I have contacted the council and as usual they are rubbish. Just looking for some practical advice on how they cant physically clamp the car.

Thanks anyways tho.

go see a lawyer. citizens advice, the papers.

Buy a angle grinder and cut the clamp off.

Get your own clamp and clamp the barstewards that park there and charge them a fee to release it :D make some money in no time.

Sleep in your car with a baseball bat and when you hear them trying to clamp you jump out and give them a beating!!

If you Key the paintwork of each car- they won't come back! - I wouldn't - obviously don't get spotted or someone will get real mean and mad with you

just cut the fookers off everytime they clamp you, leave the broken clamps on the road and seen as your in the right they cant say anything, it will cost them in the long run :D

I AGREE, RIP THE CLAMP OFF, MAKE SURE ITS BROKEN, IF YOUR SURE YOU'RE IN THE RIGHT, IF IT EVER DOES GO TO COURT, IT WILL EITHER GET THROWN OUT OR YOU WILL WIN AND THEY WILL HAVE TO PAY THE COURT COSTS.

Cut it off, they wont take you to court, they wont even chase it up as they have no authority, there just bully boys
