got the blatz bits of ebay but cant plug cable into laptop the cable end has different fitting!:( what do i need?:confused:

You need a USB>Serial converter then in order to connect it. Not too expensive but not all work, I think there are some recomended ones on the blatz site....

contacted seller on ebay and he said need a rs232/usb converter so will try that.:D i no doubt will be back asking more questions once i get going and hopefully one day will be as wise as you lot:hyper:

How you getting on with the zed John?

Its true thou, new laptops don't contain com (communication) ports because it is an old tech, like when meht tested my zed he couldn't use it on his current laptop (prob vista) he had to use his old laptop
