I 'THINK' it holds 15.8 gallons, if thats of any help to you :)

72 litres

I've considered the same myself. Keeping the tank in the same location as it is to keep the weight lowdown. 2+2 tank would be easier to replace as the size and space for it is more uniform.

The SWB tank space is a much more complicated shape. Althought the SWB version is plastic as standard.

Dark Warrior - I'm in the process of fitting the RB30. I've got the shell stripped. I'm just waiting for a RB30 to turn up or I'm going to get one from Ebay in OZ.

Legrath, Zx-eyes - thanks for that. I can start looking into the cost of tanks.

A alloy/plastic tank would also make my full system a bit easier to pumb in.

Crikey! Only RB engine'd zed in the UK? Would be a good conversion as the RB engines are near on bullet proof and are dead easy to work on.

The fact that the RB is easier to work was one of the things that pushed me in that direction + is easier to get 800BHP out of a RB.

I have a 1996 SWB. So shall that be plastic, and what is its capacity in litres. Never filled it full from empty. Only know it costs a lot these days.
