I have a huge hesitation from a standing start and dont know where to start looking. The car is a jap auto but I know it's not the box.

I have cleaned the carbs but other than that I just dont know where to look or what I can start changing. I have lived with this since I got the car but now its really starting to get to me.

Pleas help...

Hi mate?

anyluck with the heater valve yet???

Anyway Hesitation could be a number of things.

Dirty throttle bodies but you said you have cleaned them so thats not the prob. (they dont have carbs by the way :D)

Spark plugs

coil conections

injector/connections

fuel lines/filter/pump/regulator

air filter/maf senosr

water temp sensor/connector etc

Youl have some investigating to do.

I have the same prob and its really annoying especailly in a manual as it makes it horrible to pull off but i just havent bothered as im getting an engine rebulild and i have low compression which doesnt do wonders for hesitation either.

Best to have a plenum rebuild, take it off and clean replenish everything. Remmember these cars are almost the same age as me haha.
