you sure ya not loosin water cos that sounds like its where yhe matrix is

it sounds like the matrix has a hole in it if the steam is inside ?

if not the overflow tank in the n/s inner wing ?

Got to be the heater matrix has gone.

You MUST be losing some water from the radiator but maybe it's a small leak at the mo.

Get it looked at before your car fills up!

ok so wer do i get more info on how to do it,an any tips

Hi M8, I agree with everyone else the Matrix,I just finished mine last week and was very time consuming, I looked everywhere for hints as lots said can be done without removing dash but could not find any real info on it, so I desided to take the dash out and boy so many screws to remove its unreal . the matrix was right in the centre of the dash against the bulk head so I could not see any way round without takin out the dash first . All I will say is if you do it be patient as you will need it . Take photo's as you take items off as this would really help when your left with a million spare parts at the end . Its not a difficult job but I found it very time consuming

Hope this helps you deside

Ade !!!!

Anyway. Welcome to the nut house Bob.

The easiest way to do it with the dash in is to get someone else to do it.

The 2 guys on here saying you can do it with the dash in have done loads and Paul is about 5ft tall and 10 stone  so can fit into those little gaps.

You will also be better off getting a new matrix and hoses, not worth the agro of installing a secondhand one only for it to go again in a few months.

Good luck with it.

Darrell

just had my matrix done last week if your car is an auto you do not need to take the dash out if it is a manual then you do because the clutch pedal is in the way :hyper:

no, you just remove clutch pedal box ;)

...or if your Paul@swz then you whip the matrix out in 15mins without even taking out the clutch box, while the rest of us mere mortals struggle with the entire process. He's to used to being upside down, probably sleeps like that!

He still has to remove the clutch to refit new matrix so defeats the object really....he just likes to show off :slap:
