Hi everyone,

One of my front brake calipers has seized, and I was wondering what the best course of action would be. I have seen some threads saying the refurb kits do the job. Would I be better off trying to source some GTR calipers? My disks apear to be ok and to be honest I dont really have the cash to do a full conversion at the moment.

Thanks in advance for your comments

You would be better of refurbing either way as if you decide to go the GTR route you can get back £100 for the stock calipers and discs.

If you get the GTR brembo callipers you will need new disks anyway which are around £100 each.

If you are short of funds then in my opinion you are better off refurbing your existing callipers.

I have a set of front ones off a jap TT you coould use to refurb if you need to use the car.

Cheers guys,

I will need new pistons as well by the looks of it. Who would be the best person to get the kits from as I have seen a few different ones on various sites?

Thanks

i would highly recommend sourcing your spares from http://www.bigred.co.uk

from my experience they are the best price and the quailty is excellent... it exceeds oem standards :) big red sell their rebuild kits in axle sets whereas most other companies sell per caliper so keep an eye on that when you are pricing up ;) furthermore, the customer service team at big red are very good and the goods arrived super quick.
