As im serving a driving ban i put my car on SORN, but how do i get a new tax disc when i came to re-tax it, is it the same procedure as normal taxing because i wont have a letter from the DVLA to re-tax my car? also i cant tax it until my insurance starts is that true?

just goto the post office as usual with all the documents Insurance, mot, log book you be fine.

 

yeah will need the insurance note of nothing will be done.

Exactly the same, just need your log book instead of the letter they send you :)

what about i get an insurance note a week in advance but the start of the policy be a week later will they still tax it then? or does the policy have to be already started?

the policy has to cover the vehicle from the day you want to tax it.

If your getting back off a ban id check if you can insure it before you worry about the tax!

 

You might want to go buy a 1.0 polo or something!

Get your new MOT , if you need one , do a search online for the best insurance ( Autotrader is one route to loads of quotes ) . Once you have those two , you can tax it online
