Okies Right a different Question here!! Will be entering a 'Rally' which is 1500-2000miles from London to Croatia at the end of the summer!

 

Now normal tank of good ol V power around 60quid ish and will get me 350miles tops! So i was thinking or perhaps a 2nd Fuel tank to place in the boot (Only 2 of us so Bags in back seats and stuff!)

 

Just thinking would an additional Fuel tank be an easy thing to do or would i be best just filling up the tank to the brim??? If anyone has a brief explaination as to what would be done i would be grateful! just a thought after watching the Cannonball 8000! Not going to get a Fighter Jet Fuel Pump like some guy on there :P

anythings possible but im not sure of the legal implications of the second tank. eg securing ventilation, maximum capacity etc. i would assume you could but a "race" tank and have it wired additionally into the fuel line and buy having a second pump etc with a switched fuel valve could be used!

I'd just drive until the car needed more fuel and stop at a Shell garage en route.............;)

 

They do have Shell V-POwer in Europe you know:D

jsut fill you boot with bottles of octane booster and turn the boost down
