Video of play in my diff...

Just put my diff back in and there seems to be a little bit of play. I suppose thats where the funny knocking noise id coming from when ever on off throttle and changing gear... but is this normal?

Has anyone else checked thiers recently?

What can i do to fix it?

I Believe that coz all my bushings are new and stiffer it amplifies the knock??

Heres the video:

sorry for crap quality.

So anyone know if its common for a diff to have a bit of play in it?

Yes diffs should have a bit of play, but have you drained the oil they dont normally sound as sharp a knock as that, then again the differantials I used to deal with were a fair bit bigger than a Z's

I opened the plug and very clean oil came out. so i quickly put it back in.

does anyone know how much oil needs to go in there or should i just fill it till it oozes out?

a little tip here mate...never undo and drain the diff untill you know you can undo the re-fill nut first...and that goes for every car ;)
