Hi gang,

I get a bit of gearbox whine (manual) only when the weather is relly cold say only 4 degrees or below for around 2 minutes of driving. The noise is there from after around 30 - 40 seconds of driving and changes pitch when a different gear is selected i.e. low pitched when in 1st or 2nd, then a bit higher in 3rd, higher again in 4th and then again in 5th. It then changes if I go down the box also. It does it with the clutch fully depressed and randomly selecting gears changes the pitch. Only lasts for a max of 2 minutes then nothing. Any ideas what it could be and how cheap (LMFAO) expensive it's gonna be to fix ?

CHANGE YER OIL! just sounds like cold old oil to me,popped redline in mine cos of noisy bearing ,really helped.

try oil but it does sound like oil starvation to the main bearings or similar !

I don't think it'll be oil related or starvation and Duffers filled the box a while ago when he did my clutch :hyper: ;)
