Went into work this morning all bright and breezy. Boss asked me into his office, so I did...sat down. Boss said...sorry, but Ive been told weve got to make cut backs, so I'm making you redundant! Fookin Charming. Had to hand my phone & laptop in there and then. get to hold onto my car for a month, and being paid til the end of march. soooooo its job hunting for me. :(

I dont hang around, got 2 interviews this week already, and just fired my updated CV off to another 3 companies.

bugger :( know that feeling.. hope things pan out nicely for ya chap

Same thing happened to me in January, but I got a nice exit package after 14 years with the company. Took a month off just to get my head straight. Started looking again two weeks ago, been on a few interviews and two more scheduled next week so should be back to work soon.

hope you get summat soon fingers crossed the same happened to my lass last year she worked for a company for 8 years working with women offenders then they shat on her from a great height and tried to make her life at work miserable so she would leave which would have saved them redundancy moneys but she stuck it out and now works for a firm who are fantastic she loves the new job and as they say " as one door opens etc "

sorry to hear that man. Crap being layed off about 8 years ago joinery shop I was in at the time ceased trading felt quite resentfull for months after as they knew it was happening for months before but kept us in the dark
