right, since i had my wide arch cnversion ive had noariel, i smoothed it over not wanting a fookin tent pole sticking out of my arches, but now as im getting it ready to sell i need some ariel options, the only one i can come up with is the silly shark fin tye they put on BMW's,

does anyone know of any in car ariel that i could hide away, or does anyone have any idea's, ive got that little in car phone ariel stuck to my rear qauter window, i was wondering if i could modify that to work

idea's please, only serious ones though

Shark fin aerials looks a little poop. You could fit a bee-sting type roof mound aerial. I've seen someone else on here with one fitted and I think it looks good. You'll fit it to the bar that runs between the tailgate and the t-tops. They are cheap and would look good.

do you still have a rear wiper? cos what i'm thinkin is, remove your rear washer jet and put a bee sting ariel in there, and it would'nt take much to re-route the cable.

You could try and use the one built into the rear window, that looks similar to the heater element.

I don't know what sort of stereo you have, but I have got a Blaupunkt Autofun DAB Aerial in mine, it sticks to the inside of the windscreen. I got mine free with my head unit, but I think they are about £60.

Its small and tucks up in the top corner of the windscreen so you can't see it.

Reception has been good, I did have some problems when the old analoge aerial was still attached, but no I have removed that its fine, just got to smooth over the old aerials position now.

didnt know there was one there, how do i locate and use t, any ideas

cheers guys

the stock stereos had an ariel plug with 2 pins, 2 wires went into it (one from the rear windscreen (front screen on a vert) and one from the electric ariel) the stereo had a diversity reciever which chose the strongest reception between the two.

when your aftermarket stereo was fitted, either an adapter was used to go from the 2 pin connector to the standard ariel conector or the electric ariel wire was cut off and a new plug fitted. either way there should be 2 bits of ariel cable behind the stereo, i think the window one is slightly thinner than the electric ariel one

nice one, looks like im onto a winner, are all the cables hidded, and does it just stick to ya windscreen

You need to take the roof linning down really do do a good job. Then all the wires are hidden and it is very easy to connect the electric feed mate

allan, there will be a double sided sticky pad already on there. run the cable along the front of the roof lining, down behind the A post trim & behind the dash. easy job mate. you will have to connect the wire "presumed red" from the aerial to the red wire on the stereo loom.
