...of the tailgate.

So i removed the spoiler wiper arm/motor and the counter weight.

How much does the spoiler weigh?!?!?

I ripped it off and the taigate popped up and smacked me in the face! :mac1:

Anyway i'm now trying to get all the sticky stuff off, the foam like stuff isnt a problem but the thick black rubber like adhiesive(sp) is proving to be really stubborn. any suggestions?

you need what they call a caramel wheel, its an attatchment that fits in you drill and you'll get it from any bodyshop suppliers, you'll have to be patient though it does take timeto do it properly

hehe...I know the feeling. This was the mess underneath mine which had a fibreglass standard replica fitted :

Most of that is removed now..using a Hot (heater with blowtorch) Paint stripper blade.

and on my Black TT :

thiners willbe to strong and eat into the paint work, heat gun or rubber wheel as said with some tar and glue remover from a bodyshop or even some diy store like BnQ

Well i did it with mine just fine, its only thinners not paint stripper! And you just wipe excess off, so its not like you are letting it eat through!

What can i say maybe there are different ways, but it worked a treat with mine :)
