wat should the tick over be (revs)

my car runs high revs at first then slows to just under 1000 revs is this ok, my other 2 seemed to rev slower on tick over.

I think its about normal for it to run at 1500 on auto choke and then anything from 700-1000 when warm.

 

I'm sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong ;)

Mine does the same first thing in the moroing,about 1500 then down to 1000 after a few min.

Aye tickover once warm should be pretty much bang on 750rpm. Anything other than this and you need to check:

 

Clean TBs

Clean idle valve

Check for boost leaks

Check coolant sensor connection

Check ignition timing

Reset TPS voltage and check hard idle switch is operating

Reset base idle

 

Think that just about covers it lol
