He did very little, wrote a few reports - nothing taxing. He has left now which is how I found out his rate, but I still find it obscene for what he did. He milked that money for 6 months!

You think thats alot.... Jesus, i work as a recruitment consultant now in the construction industry......... a list from memory of some of the day rates that have been charged or asked for!!

 

Site manager £350

QS £450

Project mnager £500

CAD Co-ordinator £700 (shit the bed!!)

Site engineer Electrical or Mechanical £750.

but o top it off i had a CAD manager who had been working in the oil and Gas industry (read Mega Money) who was on £1k a day... yes 1K a fooking day!!!!

A lot of Companies charge £500 as a daily rate for there services, wether it takes an hour or the entire day to do the job, especially within the I.T industry to corporate clients.

 

One of my old employers used to charge my services out at 100 euros an hour, and that was a fulltime permamant contract...so 100 euros an hour, 40 hours a week....for 2 years :eek: I certaintly never saw that much in my wage slip though !

My Dad is a managing director and consultant and he charges up to £1500 per day for consultancy. However although he is only there for a day he has to do several days work in preparation which isn't charged for. Nice work if you can get it. But over the years he has put some silly hours in to get where he is. Personally I work to live, not live to work.

Im on roughly £260 a day but Im worth every penny :rofl:

Depends how many days he worked each week I guess........ ;)

 

........also did he actually get that personally, or was that paid to a company who hired him out?

 

Don't worry about it - how ever much you earn there will always be someone else who works less hours for twice as much as you get.
