I'm just wondering if anyone has had a positive experience with any of the cheap bucket and sports recliners sold on Ebay.

Some look like they maybe quite well made but in crap fabrics and was thinking if any are good that they maybe worth buying to have retrimmed.

These are a nice shape and don't look too badly made and at the price I was toying with buying a pair to see if they are structually sound to have covered in a nice bit of alcantara. anyone had any experience?

a very valid sig on a daily basis my mrs snubs my z it's a lady zs fairlady thing like poles repel :mac1:

Was looking at a pair of these myself (although with a different finish) but had been told they're a bit hard on the old arse and back. What are they like for comfort chap? Would be very interested to know. :)

I used to have Cobra Daytona in my old pug 205 gti track/road car. For short journeys and track work they were spot on, but anything longer than an hour, because the lumbar supports were so supportive it used to give me back ache right by my kidneys.

I have heard good things about OMP seats tho

Yup, that's what I'm worried about as I'm a skinny fecker with bVgger all meat on me bones! :D Maaaaark will attest to the fact that I could hide behind a drinking straw :D Although I'm looking for a pair for my other half's new NA Z I do drive it a fair bit, so comfort is a factor...

That would mostly be becuase the Daytona's are a budget seat. Big differences in quality, comfort and support as you go up the Cobra price scale.

Have a word, they cost me £300 a seat!

sorry, just checked, I was thinking of the Monaco bucket seat. Yeh, the Daytona is a pretty good recliner.

What do they weigh? do they feel robust, ie no play in them etc? Are they a a steel frame with the material ansd wadding stretch between or do they have any back and seat plates?

Anyway you can't have any seats with big gaps or cracks in or you might slip in and get stuck or even lost.
