Started the car for the first time today, since Zedfest last September.

Had to pop to the local Tyrespot for a replacement battery.

Noticed that the idle is very high (1100-1200) and it's running as rich as fook.......stinks of petrol.

Any ideas on a quick fix...or could it be one of a thousand things? LOL

Is it because she hasn't been used for 6 months and maybe needs a good run out?

Quite possible that the ECU has lost its self learn info and is starting again from scratch.

Excuse my ignorance Andy LOL

Does that mean that if it's in self learn mode, it will eventually sort itself out?

PMSL, someone like's me, even if i am a piis can lol

should be ok in a while just run it and see what happens

My cars been sitting in my garage for a year as I have been doing lots of work on it (new PCVs, Koyo rad etc), started it up and took it out of the garage and it runs like a dream. That wasn't the case when I started it before when it had been standing around for a long time, filled the tank and give it a good run and it was spot on again.

When the batts been off a long time the ECU has to start from scratch, I never use my car this time of year.

could be the lambda sensor steve and its over fueling to prevent Det , ....?? have you run a diagnostic on the ECU any error codes up ??

Both o2 sensors were changed about 3000 miles ago, so shouldn't be that.
