mine takes about 5 mins

the standard nissan temp gauge is .........crap, get a decent aftermarket one , you will see that when its at halfway on the nissan one it really has a way to go on the accurate aftermarket one, plus the temp sender for the gauge is not the one for the ecu

Well to be fair, my black one don't take long to warm up at all really, 2 miles absolute max before the heater comes on. (I think that is 45c ish?)

what do u mean before the heater comes on? or do you mean before warm air come out?

Yes, the heater only comes on when the water temperature reaches 45c I think...

As I only have the stock gauge not an aftermarket item.

So when my heater comes on I know the car is not fully warm, but it's getting there (if that makes sense lol).

my heater comes on soon as i press the fan button or auto i think isnt that normal ?

obviously it dont blow warm right away though,

yeah about the same to 80c

I do find the stock gauge hits the middle when my aftermarket gauge is only upto about 40c! They are both running off the same sender too.

Takes another couple of miles to reach the normal 80c running temp. Even longer for the oil to warm up and thin out properly.

well i just went out in mine and it got to halfway up the gauge in 3minutes , and my heaters work soon as i switch them on

Just a couple of minutes - 5 when it's really cold outside (say below 3 degrees). Less than 3/4s of a mile after leaving home and it's warm enough for the heater to give hot air.

Richard :)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

thats about the same as me really , i dont fee so worried now , their all around aboutthe same amount of time

I think it depends on if you have also done a top end bypass, i.e., cut out all them pipes under the plenum. On my last Zed it warmed up in about 3 minutes, until I did the bypass and then it took about 10 minutes.

One of the places people overlook is the intercoolers down the front, they can get damaged, or corroded or just perished pipework.
