Detonation Sensor circuit

Detonation Sensor circuit (code 34) is coming up what do you do to check this problem. Not sure where the sensor is??

its between the pleniums down the back off the engine , its a engine out job to change , or just bypassthe sensor with a 1meg resistor like im gonna try on mine

I think the connector you are looking for is the grey one at the top on the RHS of the first pic

 

The det sensor can be seen in the 2nd pic.

 

Ignore the yellow circle(sic) its the black round thing in the middle of the pic, as has been said previously its normally an engine out job top replace this one has been repositioned on top of the block where it is less effective.

does the engine have to come out for the bypass? is there a thread on how to do it? and what risks does it pose to the engine? Any info would be appreciated. thanks
