Its just im running 1 bar and have been for some time, And on very cold days with the denser air im getting a boost spike in third 1.1-1.2 bar and the car seems to hit like a limiter All power from the engine is cut . timing is at 15 deg, with No det? Heeeelp!

yeah i got the brace and fitted it.

pedal feels slighty more solid.

the bolt that pushes on the cyclinder needs to be a bit bigger i think, but its doin the job :)

suppose that is the disadvantage with jets as they do spike and 1.1-1.2 bar is way too much on those mods. its detting and going into saftey.

fuel cut is way beyond those pressures so it must be something else, have you made the plug gaps a bit smaller in case of spark blow out

especially with the densor air like you said. the standard injectors and map is not set to cope with the fuel needed to run such high boost.

i believe its the nissan se map that is set up quite rich due to it being a out and out power chip without much thought to a even spread of power

sorry this is a reply to the fueling map comment earlier

mine will run 17psi without dett but i dont do that ,and its the same sort of mods

it will det when it starts building up some nice heat in the chambers :)

So no factory limiter?

it prob is detting but you just cant hear it and going into safty to stop any harm

heres some info for you , knock sensor doesnt work above 3k rpm, if youre detting below this it will limit your boost so it feels slow but not like fuel cut ( if youve experienced it you will know what im talking about), if its detting after this above 3krpm your looking at a expensive fix eventually., get it on a rolling road with full diag kit on it, check charge temps and fuelling , if you can get a duty cycle done do this as well, when we set my boost controller up on a rr we took it all the way to 16.5 psi without dett , the afr was a tadge rich ( nissan se map)and the duty cycle spiked to 104% for a millisecond on intial load ( map dumping fuel in ) then steadied to around 85% all the way through, charge temps were high ( higher than the operator liked(( a decent I/C upgrade will help this) but as the exhaust is a straight through it was shifting the hot gasses out quickly ( one of the causes of det is the exhaust not flowing the gasses out quick enough causing heat build up), hope you dont mind the background info the reason is that my car will do the same as yours when it will spike to 17.5 psi , it isnt det , its like a sudden loss of all power, a strangled quietness untill you let off the throttle , it was theorised that this was spark plug blow out, never did get round to sorting it as im never going to run the car above 14.5 psi till i get a decent fmic. If it isnt this then i dont have a clue as the fuel cut on these is way beyond those boost pressures

this isnt definite but its what we thought it was on mine

wow it just cuts out?

im not sure if there is a fuel safty cut off......... maybe there is.....

anyone????

there is a fuel safety cut but its at a ridiculous lvl, i was looking into the mapping of these a while back but it was far too time intensive for me and pretty damn complicated

ah so there is one but way up there.

well hay my car dets above 3000rpm at about 10 psi so thats no good. will get that sorted EVENTUALLY AHHHHHHH MENTAL BRAKEDOWN AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH WORK FOR ONCE GOD DAMN IT AHHHHHHHH.................

sorry :(

mmm.... it has only been doing it in thes cold conditions (in third) this is a tricky one guys me thinks. Have been advised from nissan tech expert, that what i described to him about the sudden loss of power would NOT be the spark being blown out as this would be more of a judder/ missfire?
