WTF, wrong forum m8 LOL.

Most reliable Z. It bloody aint me thats for sure!

Steve E must be sniffing near the top somewhere with his second Z?

Mines been running for 5 weeks before needing something.

Must be a record, perhaps I should call Guiness.

Hiya,

3 days before my exhaust fell off

2 weeks later clutch goes

6 weeks later windscreen washer pump

4 months later hit by a bus, needing a new front end and wing.

besides that my uk 300 tt @ 106000 miles

has been going like a dream

just didnt check it out properly before i bought it i think (seduced by the speed)

I know that I would say this while it's for slae but mine's never broken down ! Major work has been turbos at 60K and gearbox as power got over 350 but it's never actually broken down anywhere.

So get those offers in to me - my TVR is beckoning ....

Dave

Thought I wasn't doing too badly. 22,000 miles of my tender care (!) and the only thing to pack up was the auto box - £ouch.

Tempting fate, but now on about 48,000 and for a car thats as near as dammit 9 years old it still looks OK, goes OK and even leaves the odd smoke screen to cover my hasty departures !

Mine hasn't broken down for well over a year now :)

Z ya

Ignoring work done for upgrades, and a water coolant problem which i think I caused myself, the only thing gone wrong is the auto box after 100K miles.. Battery is now a bit duff, but generally Z very reliable. original turbos. Now 120k.

I am sure you would get more replies by posting the topic "Who owns the most UN-reliable Z". Not too many problems with my Z,

just the usual, Clutch, turbos, brakes / pads, Wait a minute this could go on all day!!

I've had my import 1990 TT auto since September 1998 - never broke down on me once - has cut out twice - has needed a new power steering pump - New from Nissan on warranty - new front tension rods.....and that it. Been a good'un so far - got mine checked at Middlehursts when I bought it - cost £100 - well worth it for peace of mind. Oh yeah, the exhaust is up for a change now though!! I've done 30,000 miles in it since I bought it at 40,000 miles.

So what's the prize for winning this 'Competition' then?

The pride of knowing yours is the most unlikely Z to breakdown?

Wouldn't that be tempting fate?

Matty.......

Good point Matty.

Then why not change the competition to:

"Who owns the most unreliable Z"

If you're the winner then it can't get much worse and surely fate would be tempted to swing you in the opposite direction.

Then again we may argue amongst each other as to who's won!

The prize is...

A 10 pound Halfords voucher to spend on anything you want at...u guessed it...Harry's!

So what could u get for your tenner then?

1: Wynn's fuel injection cleaner...bargain.

2: A sponge, bucket and possibly a half size chamois leather if your really lucky.

3: Thee AA Guide to pubs and B&B's, plus a lovely looking yellow tow rope...be the envy of all your friends and family.

4: A mini mag-lite for those occasions that you envisage of being in America and you happen accross some New York cops beating up an innocent black dwarf called Rodney, so you think "I'm well equipped for this with my mini-mag!" and join in the action.

5: Some Auto-Glym resin polish, as endorsed by HRH The Prince of Wales...yeah right...when have you ever see the Chap himself out there with a polishing cloth and giving the old Aston a good seeing too...NOT!

So there you go folks, something for everybody...

Fight for your prize with honour!

>

Can you imagine......The thought of HRH chuffin the exhaust of his Aston.....whilst wiping the sweat from his brow with the polishing cloth......Didn't think so....

:o) I made myself feel sick now...

I can put up a prize though;

One free 'season ticket' for TopSquads online football community for the 2001/2002 football season (only costs a £5 anyway but the thoughts there)

Matty.

My Z is definitely the most reliable. It has low maintanace, low insurance, excellent fuel economy and NEVER goes wrong. Mind you, thats probably due to the fact that I've just dismantled it !!!

Keep on Rolling !!

AndyZ

he he he mine ran like clockwork until the moter went boom, lol

how many of you guys have put on 0 miles in 6 months lol?

Well,

I have a 1990 and a 1992 TT Z.

The 1992 manual has about 190.000 km on it

The 1990 auto has about the same (the actual mileage is UNKNOWN, dash was replaced by previous owner)

Besides MINOR (blown bulbs) or NORMAL wear (disk, pads, oil change, etc etc etc), both these cars are EXTREMELY RELIABLE.

On the 92 Z, I had a blown motor, because an IMCOMPETENT NISSAN mechanic INCORRECTLY installed my timing belt at the 100.000 maintenance.

Basically, these cars are EXTREMELY reliable..provided they are WELL maintained and correctly modified (if any).

Zee you

Henri

Ladie's and Gentlemen,

I think we have a winner!!

Herni....Step forward to claim you prize.

One Halford's voucher to the tune of £10 and one free season ticket to the 'TopSquads' online football community (worth £5)

Everyone in agreement with this being awarded to Henri?

(Que the bitchy back-stabbing comments from those that will or have lost)

lmfao

Matty.
