Bumped into an old mate of mine today and got talking about traffic wardens etc, dont know why!! He told me that thye cant clamp the rear wheels, or wheels that have been turned into the curb?? Is this true? He also says they cant tow a car (with the lifting truck thingy) if two wheels are on the curb? Are these urban legends?

i dont think they play by the rules

No.... just cut the f*ckers off unless they are police or DVLA ones ;)

best bet is to just park normally or youl just risk them damaging your car getting it towed or clamped.

Buy a Citroen Xantia and when you park lower the suspension to the floor, you cant get a wheel clamp on then LOL.

they will jack it up and put a clamp on,then they will just take the jack away causing untold damage i recon ;)

they are ruthless and careless sorry for bad spelling

who would clamp a citroen anyway haha

bloody french cant even win the war.

Right, i got back to my car to find the big sticker on my screen, the letter was tucked under the wiper saying i was parked on private property and it would be £200 to release my car or they'd tow it and charge me £50 a day storage. So i rand the number and asked who they wre and all i got was a semi-litterate knuckle dragger saying over and over,"well there is a sign there mate you'll have to pay or we'll tow it mate"

So i wen't to halfords and bought a co2 extinguisher and bolt cutters, cut the cone off the end and fired the entire contents into the lock then smashed it with the cutters.

Then nothing, i awaited the fallout for ages but nothing happened. they probably didn't take a photo of the car when they clamped it. It's been 4 years so i think i'm ok.

Or just carry a clamp in the car and put it on when you leave it, lol!!

ha ha that really is a damn good idea!!
