I think that I've got a problem with my starter motor as just getting clicking noise when trying to turn it over. Checked battery at first but its not that. Now in the past with other cars, I've just given the starter motor a tap with a hammer and then all is well, but on the Z I have no idea where it is let alone whether I can get to it at all.

 

Where is it, can I get to hit it and if needs replacing, are they expensive and much labour to fit?

Look under the car from under the drivers side door, and you see it bolted up to the side of the gearbox in front of you.

 

Not sure on New price, but around £50 second hand.
